Tell us briefly about your current work. The company I work for is the leading unit trust management company in Malaysia with assets under management of more than RM200 billion. My main responsibility is to develop and monitor the corporate strategies of the company.
What is your most memorable experience in school? Sitting in an exam hall alone with three invigilators! I was the only student to take the exam and the small exam room had an issue, so they had to switch the venue to the exam hall which could sit dozens of exam candidates.
What were your favourite and least favourite subjects in school, and why? I don’t really have any preference but if I have to choose my favourite, it’d be Economics. The learning approach was really entertaining. To this day, I still refer to the examples taught then.
What extracurricular activities did you do? Wow. This could go on and on. There were plenty of activities all year round, but Bangsawan has got to be the pinnacle of it all. I was involved as one of the stage supporting actors.
What was the best thing about your school? What important lessons did you learn in your school that have helped you in your life? It has to be the people; students and staff which made the place special. When you gather the best minds in the country with dedicated staff ensuring your future success, it creates a familial environment where you feel right at ‘home’ away from home. I learned that everyone is special in their own way and that can only be a good thing.

What advice would you give to current students of your alma mater? Live college life to the fullest and embrace the differences you’ll find in others. It’s an experience you’ll never get anywhere else or at any other point of time.
