What are your hobbies? Dancing (tap dance, ballet), Debating and Reading.

What are your favourite subjects? Biology, English Literature and History.

What kinds of extracurricular activities do you do? World Scholar’s Cup, Dance Class, Music Class.

Who is your favourite teacher and why? My Biology teacher and Head of Year 11, Dr. Felicia. She goes beyond what is required of her as a teacher and offers emotional support to all her students, in addition to supporting us with our studies. Her classes are always the perfect balance between being entertaining and being educational. I especially look up to her strong work ethic, caring nature and passion towards education.

What is the one thing that you like the most about your school? It is difficult to pin-point my favourite thing about my school, but if I had to choose just one thing, it would be the supportive environment of my school which fosters a positive attitude towards learning as well as instils good character and morals within every member of the student body.

Share a memorable experience in your school so far. One of my most memorable experiences was representing my school, together with my teammates, at the World Scholar’s Cup’s Tournament of Champions at Yale University. We competed against 1,000 participants from over 30 countries. Being able to make friends with so many young people from such diverse background and listen to their viewpoints, was an eye-opening experience that expanded my world view.

What is the best thing about being a student? In my opinion, the best thing about being a student is the fact that I am given the opportunity to study a multitude of fascinating subjects and learn about the world around me, while being surrounded by a network of supportive friends and teachers. I am also able to participate in exciting school events and activities which help me develop and grow as a person.

What do you hope to do when you finish school? I hope to complete a law degree and join the United Nations in order to make a positive change in the world through making food, water and education accessible to the less fortunate.
