POWIIS is a British style boarding school offering the British Curriculum to students aged 11 to 18. The IGCSE and A Level examinations are offered at secondary and pre-university levels respective. POWIIS has been operating since 2011.
Established in 1955, Uplands is the oldest international school in Penang. The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme, IGCSE examinations and IB Diploma Programme. Students aged four to 18 are accepted at Uplands.
The British Curriculum and IGCSE examinations are offered at Straits International School. The school has been operating since 2012 and accepts students at preschool, primary and secondary levels. Straits International School has an additional campus in Rawang which opened in 2018.
Fairview International School Penang is one of the school’s five branches. The school has been in operation since 2006 and offers the IB Primary Years Programme and IB Middle Years Programme to primary and secondary students respectively.
Established in 1963, St. Christopher’s International Primary School accepts students from Nursery level to Year 6. The school offers the British Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum to its students.
Universal Hua Xia International School (Penang) accepts students at preschool, primary and secondary levels. The Cambridge Curriculum is offered to primary and secondary students leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The school was established in early 2018.
Established in 2018, Wesley Methodist School Penang (International) offers the Cambridge Curriculum to students from Reception to Year 11 leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The school is one of the three branches of Wesley Methodist School which offers international curricula.
Located on the mainland, GEMS International School offers the British Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The school accepts students aged three to 18 years old. GEMS International School of Pearl City, Penang was established in 2015.
Dalat International Schools is one of the most established international schools in Penang. The school has been operating since 1971 and offers the American Curriculum. Students aged three to 18 years old are accepted at Dalat International School.
Established in 2013, Pelita International School offers the British Curriculum and IGCSE examinations. Students at preschool, primary and secondary levels are accepted at the school.
POWIIS Primary recently opened its doors in September 2019. The school accepts students from three to 11 years old to enter Nursery level to Year 6. The British Curriculum is offered at POWIIS Primary.
Tenby Schools Penang was established in 2007. Similar to their other campuses, the school offers the British Curriculum and Malaysian Curriculum. Students sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. The school is open to preschool, primary, secondary and pre-university level students.
Stonyhurst Penang International School is an extension of Stonyhurst College in the United Kingdom. The school is scheduled to open in September 2020 in Bandar Tanjong Pinang, Penang. Stonyhurst Penang International School is a coeducational day and boarding school offering the International Primary Curriculum, British Curriculum, IGCSE and A Levels. The school accepts students from three to 18 years old.
