Book Week at Uplands Before the term break, we celebrated our annual Book week with a plethora of events being organised across the whole school. Thank you to all parents and students who participated in the book swap event, trading your pre-loved books for new stories is a wonderful way to share a love of reading. On Tuesday 5th April we welcomed Mohammed Azmi Bin Mohd Hussin into school. Azmi is a local author who works on cartoons and graphic novels about local life in Penang and he shared his love of reading and writing with our students from Year 4 to Year 8. The week concluded with a celebration of everyone’s favourite book characters as the school finished the term with a fancy dress celebration. It was wonderful to see so many of our students participating in this fun event and sharing their favourite stories and characters with each other.
