(a) the Education Destination Malaysia website ("EDM Website");

(b) educational fairs, exhibitions, conferences, webinars and events organised or managed by Mint Media;

(d) newsletters, marketing activities and communications; and

(e) any related products, services and platforms operated by Mint Media.

By accessing or using the EDM Website or interacting with Mint Media, you acknowledge that your Personal Data may be processed in accordance with this Notice.

5. AI SERVICES AND AUTOMATED PROCESSING

5.1 The EDM Website may utilise artificial intelligence technologies, including chatbot functionality and generative AI services.

5.2 Where users interact with AI Services:

(a) prompts, questions and interactions may be processed to generate responses;

(b) interactions may be recorded and stored;

5.3 AI-generated responses are produced automatically and may not always be accurate, complete or current.

5.4 Users should not submit:

(a) confidential information;

(b) sensitive personal data;

(d) passwords;

(e) information belonging to third parties unless authorised.

5.5 Mint Media may engage third-party technology providers, including AI service providers, to facilitate AI Services.

5.6 Where Users interact with AI Services, Mint Media will endeavour to make it reasonably apparent that the responses are generated, in whole or in part, using artificial intelligence technologies. Mint Media will endeavour to provide Users with sufficient information regarding the role of AI Services in generating responses so that Users can make informed decisions regarding their use of such responses. Users acknowledge that AI-generated responses are produced automatically based on User prompts, available information and machine learning models, and do not represent independent professional advice or human review by Mint Media unless expressly stated otherwise.

5.7 The AI Services are intended solely to assist Users by providing general educational information and responding to enquiries. Mint Media does not use AI Services to make fully automated decisions that determine a User's:

(a) legal rights;

(b) eligibility for admission to an educational institution;

(d) immigration or visa status; or

(e) other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on the User.

5.8 Users remain responsible for evaluating and acting upon AI-generated information. Users should independently verify any information obtained through AI Services with the relevant educational institution, government authority or other appropriate source before making educational, financial, immigration or other significant decisions.

6. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

Mint Media may disclose Personal Data to:

6.1 Educational Institutions

(a) universities;

(b) colleges;

(d) educational providers;

(e) scholarship providers;

where users request information or submit enquiries.

6.2 Service Providers

(a) information technology providers;

(b) cloud hosting providers;

(d) CRM providers;

(e) email service providers;

(f) chatbot and AI providers;

(g) event management providers;

(h) analytics providers;

(i) payment service providers.

6.3 Professional Advisers

(a) lawyers;

(b) auditors;

(d) insurers.

6.4 Regulatory Authorities

(a) governmental agencies;

(b) regulators;

(d) courts and tribunals.

6.5 Educational Enquiries and Lead Sharing

Where a User requests information regarding an educational institution, course, programme, scholarship, event or educational opportunity, the User acknowledges and agrees that Mint Media may disclose the User's Personal Data to the relevant educational institution, advertiser, sponsor, scholarship provider or service provider for the purpose of:

(a) responding to the User's enquiry;

(b) providing information requested by the User;

(d) providing admissions, course, scholarship or programme information; and

(e) facilitating the educational services requested by the User.

Such recipients shall thereafter be responsible for processing the Personal Data in accordance with their own privacy notices, policies and applicable legal obligations.

6.6 Event Badge and QR Code Scanning

Where a User attends an event, exhibition, educational fair, webinar or programme organised, managed or promoted by Mint Media and voluntarily permits an advertiser, sponsor, educational institution or authorised representative to scan, capture, record or otherwise collect information from an event badge, QR code, registration record or similar identifier, the User expressly authorises Mint Media to disclose the relevant Personal Data to such advertiser, sponsor or educational institution for follow-up communications and related purposes.

The User acknowledges that, following such disclosure, the advertiser, sponsor or educational institution may process the Personal Data in accordance with its own privacy notice, policies and applicable legal obligations, and Mint Media shall not be responsible for such subsequent processing activities.

6.7 Marketing Communications by Educational Institutions and Advertisers

Users acknowledge that educational institutions, advertisers, sponsors, scholarship providers and other organisations to whom Personal Data is disclosed pursuant to this Notice may contact Users regarding educational programmes, courses, scholarships, admissions, events, promotional activities and related opportunities.

Such communications may be made by email, telephone, SMS, messaging applications or other communication channels provided by the User.

Any request to cease receiving such communications should be directed to the relevant organisation responsible for sending the communication.

7. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

7.1 Personal Data may be transferred to, processed in or stored outside Malaysia.

7.2 Such transfers may occur where Mint Media utilises:

(a) cloud services;

(b) CRM platforms;

(d) chatbot providers;

(e) technology infrastructure providers.

7.3 Mint Media shall take reasonable steps to ensure that transferred Personal Data receives a level of protection consistent with applicable legal requirements.

8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

8.1 Mint Media uses cookies and similar technologies to:

13.1 Users may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

13.3 Withdrawal from Mint Media's marketing communications does not automatically withdraw consent previously given to educational institutions, advertisers, sponsors or other third parties who have lawfully received Personal Data pursuant to this Notice.

14. CHILDREN'S DATA

14.1 Mint Media recognises that many users may be students below eighteen (18) years of age.

14.2 Where required by law, Mint Media may rely upon consent provided by parents or legal guardians.

14.3 Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise online activities involving minors.

15. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

15.1 The EDM Website may contain links to third-party websites.

15.2 Mint Media is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.

16. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

16.1 Mint Media may amend this Notice from time to time.

16.2 Updated versions shall be published on the EDM Website.

16.3 Continued use of the EDM Website after publication constitutes acknowledgement of the revised Notice.
