For their Exit Point of the topic 'The World Around Us', our Early Years students made their own birdwatching binoculars!
They coloured cardboard rolls and used double-sided tape to join two rolls together to make their binoculars. They then went on an adventure around the school's outdoor area in search for birds to view. Throughout the lesson, we learned how movement and sound can scare birds away and why it is best to stay still and make no noise while birdwatching. Our students were overjoyed when they managed to look at birds through their binoculars!
