“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn,” Benjamin Franklin once wisely remarked. Inspired by this philosophy, a dedicated group of chess enthusiasts from Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (Private) transformed their passion into a grand event — the Wesley Open Chess Tournament 2024.
Organised by the visionary Chess Club, founded by Head Prefect Brandon Ong Qi Jun and his friends, this tournament not only brought together chess lovers from across Klang Valley but also attracted participants from as far away as Singapore. 141 young minds from primary and secondary schools took part in this event.
