STREAM & STEM education is a divergent approach that integrates science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics into a great learning experience. At Wesley Methodist School located in Penang and Bandar Seri Coalfields, we provide the necessary catalytic push for students to invent, create, design, and solve problems.

STREAM Festival in Wesley Methodist School Penang (International) (WMSPI) - an act of Celebration of Learning - was organised to celebrate creativity and hard work of its primary students – showcasing their STREAM projects, witnessing student-led pocket performances including a medley of music performance in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations, Goal No:11 -- Sustainable Cities and Communities.

The primary students were encouraged and motivated to get involved in these activities as it helped them to develop critical thinking and problem–solving skills. Hands–on learning has provided the students with a unique way of interacting with school subjects and engaging them differently by increasing their excitement about the subjects they are learning.

Many parents of WMSPI students attended the event in support of their children to meaningfully engage with STREAM as a bridge between the school and many families. Praise the Lord that this festival also attracted many new potential parents who came and learned about the school.

At Wesley Methodist School Bandar Seri Coalfields (Private) (WMSBSCP), we witnessed the brilliance of its secondary school students as they showcased their science projects relating to biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics during the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Week.

The school emphasises STEM education as a gateway for its students’ future economic success and as a vehicle for promoting student communication skills, preparing students to be competitive and ready to work prior to entering the workforce. Traits that are taught in STEM education are logical thinking, innovation, creativity, and productivity which are directly related to real-world scenarios.

At Wesley Methodist School, we provide holistic learning in building up each child into a responsible, purposeful individual and citizen equipped with the aptitudes to succeed and adapt in a rapidly changing world through Methodist Education:

A – Academic excellence with affordability

E – Extra-curricular achievements, aiming to provide extensive exposure to arts, science, sports, and team building; also, to develop the learners’ leadership skills and to have the responsibilities for community services

S – Spiritual formation - teaching and exposing the Bible to students, targeting spiritual development "in favour with God" as envisioned in Luke 2:52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
