Nurturing a Love of Learning from the Start

At Alice Smith School's Early Years (Preschool - Year 2), we focus on helping your child blossom and thrive. We provide a stimulating and supportive environment filled with:

  • A Broad and Balanced Curriculum: Our enriched curriculum offers a variety of learning opportunities that spark curiosity and exploration
  • Trips and Excursions: We take advantage of educational outings to broaden your child's horizons and connect classroom learning to the real world
  • Enrichment Opportunities: We offer a range of exciting activities beyond the core curriculum to cater to diverse interests and talents

On campus, your child will experience free flow classrooms and play areas enabling them to select the activities planned by our teachers that interest and stimulate them the most. Children will develop skills more quickly by engaging them in this way than in a formal class setting.

In the Junior years (Years 2 to 6), our flexible, well planned cross-curricular units encourage students to make sense of their learning by creating links between subjects and the real world. Learning initiated by student questions is encouraged, celebrated, tracked and recorded as part of the connected and authentic learning process.

Our school goes beyond academics, fostering well-rounded growth in several key areas:

  • Intercultural Literacy: We celebrate diversity and help children understand and appreciate different cultures.
  • Positive Development: We use the PERMAH framework (Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment, Health) and character strengths to nurture emotional intelligence and well-being.
  • Strong Knowledge Base: We equip children with a solid foundation in core subjects, preparing them for future academic success.
  • Critical Thinking Skills: We encourage children to question, analyse, and think critically about the world around them.
  • Subject Expertise: We help children develop subject-specific skills that allow them to excel in different academic areas.

At the Secondary Campus, our curriculum is structured into three distinct phases: Middle School (Years 7 to 9), Upper School (Years 10 and 11) and Senior School (Sixth Form) and follows the National Curriculum for England through to (I)GCSE and A Level. Our students consistently achieve highly in both (I)GCSE and A Level examinations.

We also have a strong Higher Education & Careers team who are experienced in providing comprehensive support and information in:

  • (I)GCSE and A Level subject choices
  • Work Experience
  • Careers
  • Scholarships
  • Applying to global universities (eg. UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, France, Germany, and many more)
  • And so much more!
