There are more international schools in the Klang Valley compared to other states. These schools differ quite distinctly from one another including the fees charged. Hence parents today have more options finding one that meets their budget requirements. This article lists schools in the Klang Valley with annual tuition fees below RM30,000* for Year 1.

Al-Hamra International Primary School
Al Hamra Integrated School is a project initiated by a group of parents in Kota Damansara, Selangor. The name Al-Hamra is derived from a palace and fortress in Andalusia during the great Islamic Civilisation which symbolises a true Islamic historical legacy when Muslim were champions of the world. As a result, the name was chosen to get the whole mantra to “recapture” Al-Hamra, in order to inspire our students to reclaim the glories of the past by becoming champions of the future.
In 2007, Alnoor International School was established in Bukit Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. The IGCSE and A Level examination are offered to students.
There are two Beaconhouse Schools in Selangor. The first campus located in Petaling Jaya is known as Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School and it was established in 2011. Another campus known as Beaconhouse Newlands International School, is situated in Cheras and the school started its operation in 2012. The schools offer the British curriculum. Students are able to take the IGCSE examinations at this school.
Brighton International School started its operation in 2018. The school located in Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur, offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. The school offers the A Level examination.
Campus Rangers International School
Campus Rangers International School was established in 2012. Situated in Taman Overseas Union, Kuala Lumpur, the school offers the Cambridge curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. Campus Rangers International School offers the IGCSE examination.
Global Indian International School
Global Indian International School, established in 2006, offers the Central Board of Secondary Education, Montessori and Cambridge curriculum for preschool to secondary level. The school can be found in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
In 2012, Havil International School was established. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to secondary level. Situated in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, the school offers the IGCSE examination.
Located in Taman Sri Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, Hibiscus International School offers the British and Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. The school started its operation in 2012 and they offer the IGCSE examination to students.
International Islamic School Malaysia
Established in 1998, the International Islamic School Malaysia is situated in Gombak. The school offers the British, Cambridge and Montessori curriculum options for their students. Students at this school can sit for the A Level and O Level exam.
KYS KL East International School
KYS International School (also KYSIS, the ‘KYS’ stands for Kolej Yayasan Saad) boasts of highly qualified expatriate teachers from the United Kingdom and other British schools across the world. The Kolej Yayasan Saad foundation was established in 1995 by Tan Sri Halim Saad. It was his personal aspiration to build a school of quality for students from every background. KYS International School was established in 2013 and is continuing this aspiration into the future.
Established in 2017, Marefat International School Malaysia is located in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum leading to the IGCSE for students from preschool to pre-university levels.
Primrose Hill International School

There are a few branches of Regent International Schools. One campus located in Jalan Kopi, Klang, caters to students from Preschool until Year 9. Another branch of the Regent International Schools was established in 2017 in Puchong. In 2020, the school opened another campus in Rawang. The schools offer the Cambridge curriculum to all their students and they are prepared to take the IGCSE examination.

Sayfol International School was established in 1985 in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the British curriculum for preschool to pre-university level and students have the option of taking the IGCSE or the International Advanced Level examinations.
Spectrum International Islamic Schools
Spectrum International School has two branches and one of them can be found in Putrajaya. Established in 2018, this campus offers the Cambridge and Islamic curriculum. Students have the option of sitting for the IGCSE, A Level and O Level exams.
Sri Bestari International School
Situated in Bandar Sri Damansara, Sri Bestari International School was established in 2017. The school follows the British and Cambridge curriculum. Students sit for the IGCSE examination.
Sri Dasmesh International School
Sri Dasmesh International School opened its doors in 2001. Situated in Taman Pantai Baharu, Kuala Lumpur, the school offers the British curriculum leading to the IGCSE to students from Year 1 to 11.
Sri Kuala Lumpur International School
Sri Kuala Lumpur International School opened in 1979 in Subang Jaya. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum which prepares students to take the IGCSE exam.
Sri Sempurna International School
Sri Sempurna International school aims at academic excellence as well as holistic development of the individual student, which includes character building, spiritual growth, leadership skills, life skills, and physical education based on a firm belief in God.
Sri Utama Schools are branches of international schools in Malaysia. The school was established on 1 September 1994. As of 2006, the Malaysian Government has allowed students from Malaysia to be educated there, thus gaining status as both an International and National school.
St. John’s International School
St. John’s International School is located at Jalan Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur, and the school started in 2010. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum to primary students.
Stella Maris International School
The Stella Maris Schools offer Primary, Secondary and Pre-University education comprising the national curriculum (KSSR & KSSM) and international curriculum (Cambridge IGCSE, A-Levels and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme).
In 2018, Straits International School opened its doors to students. The school is located in Rawang and offers the British curriculum where students are prepared for the IGCSE exam.
Since its inception in 2008, Sunway International Schools has two branches: Selangor and Johor. The schools offer the Canadian (Ontario) Curriculum and International Baccalaureate (IB). The Sunway City campus based in Selangor provides the Canadian (Ontario) Curriculum to students from Grade 6 to Grade 12 (ages 12 to 18). Upon completion, they receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Alternatively, they can choose to complete the IB Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12.
Taylor’s International School has a campus in Puchong and another campus in Kuala Lumpur. The schools offer the British curriculum, International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Students here sit for the IGCSE examination.
Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park is one of the three Tenby campuses in Selangor. The school opened its doors in 2008 in Shah Alam, where they offer the A Level exam. Another campus was opened in Setia EcoHill, Kajang, in 2016. The third campus known as Tenby International School Tropicana Aman is located in Klang where they started their operation in 2018. The schools offer the Cambridge and Malaysian curriculum along with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Students have the option to sit for the IGCSE exam.
Tree Top International School started its operation in Taman Sri Segambut, Kuala Lumpur in 2016. The school offers the Montessori curriculum along with the Cambridge curriculum leading to the IGCSE.
Tzu Chi International School was established last year, in 2020. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum in conjunction with the Tzu Chi humanistic lessons for preschool to secondary level. This school is situated in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, and offers the IGCSE examination.
UCSI International School has three branches and one of them is located in Subang Jaya. The school started in 2013 where they offer the Cambridge curriculum, International Baccalaureate (IB), and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The IGCSE examination is taken by students here.
