The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma is a prestigious, internationally recognised pre-university programme for learners aged 16-19, and prepares learners for entrance into top universities worldwide.
Research by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) in 2016 indicated that IB learners compare favourably to learners from other pre-university programmes, adding that these learners are more likely to attend the top 20 universities worldwide and also achieve a first-class honours degree.
This stems from the fact that the programme has a holistic approach of covering both the academic success and the personal development of learners. The curriculum encourages learners to think independently and determine their own learning, become culturally aware, and engage with people in a globalised world.
