Building Faith-Centred, Future-Ready Education

On 21 January 2026Spectrum International School proudly formalised a meaningful partnership with Yayasan Restu through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in support of the 1 Million Waqf Quran Campaign. This collaboration reflects a shared vision to integrate Islamic values, experiential learning, and innovation in education.

The MOU marks an important milestone in Spectrum International School’s commitment to holistic education—nurturing students academically, spiritually, and socially while connecting them to impactful community initiatives.

Purpose of the MOU with Yayasan Restu

The partnership with Yayasan Restu focuses on enriching student learning experiences while promoting Quranic appreciation and values-based education. The key objectives of the MOU include:

  • Supporting and promoting the 1 Million Waqf Quran Campaign by Yayasan Restu
  • Introducing Quranic Calligraphy (Khat) Workshops as stand-alone learning experiences for students
  • Implementing the STEM with Quran Programme, integrating scientific thinking with Quranic values

Through this collaboration, students gain exposure to innovative programmes that bridge faith, creativity, and modern learning.

Student Participation: Learning Beyond the Classroom

As part of this special collaboration, Spectrum International School students visited Yayasan Restu and actively participated in a range of immersive educational activities designed to deepen their connection with Islamic heritage and contemporary learning.

Rehlah Nabawiyyah Visit Tour

Students took part in the Rehlah Nabawiyyah Visit Tour, where they explored historical and educational elements that brought the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to life. This experience encouraged reflection, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation of Islamic history.

Khat (Islamic Calligraphy) Activity

Students also engaged in a Khat (Islamic Calligraphy) activity, learning the fundamentals of Quranic calligraphy while expressing creativity through traditional Islamic art. This hands-on session nurtured patience, focus, and artistic appreciation among learners.

STEM with Quran Programme Preview

A highlight of the visit was the STEM with Quran Programme Preview conducted by Yayasan Restu. Students were introduced to innovative ways of connecting Quranic verses with scientific concepts, reinforcing critical thinking while strengthening faith-based understanding.

Spectrum’s Calligraphy Booth: Showcasing Student Creativity

In addition to participating in the programmes, Spectrum International School proudly hosted a Calligraphy Booth at the event. The booth showcased students’ work and celebrated the beauty of Quranic calligraphy, reflecting the school’s emphasis on creative expression rooted in Islamic values.

The presence of the booth symbolised Spectrum’s active contribution to the event and its commitment to nurturing students who appreciate both tradition and innovation.

A Shared Vision for Holistic Education

The collaboration between Spectrum International School and Yayasan Restu goes beyond a formal agreement. It represents a shared mission to develop learners who are:

  • Spiritually grounded
  • Academically confident
  • Creatively expressive
  • Socially responsible

By integrating Quranic education with experiential learning, workshops, and STEM-based approaches, this partnership supports Spectrum’s vision of preparing students for the future while staying firmly rooted in faith.
