The award is a significant distinction for SIS, as the first recipient of the award was introduced only this year, in addition to the prestige of being awarded the ultimate seal of consumer approval. According to the Awards criteria, Gold Trusted Brand Awards are given to brands that score significantly higher than their competitors in that category, effectively being the premier measure of brand strength.

Winners for the most trusted brand are canvassed from Reader’s Digest Trusted brands survey conducted annually. The 2015 survey was conducted in partnership with independent French global consumer research organisation, Ipsos to survey a representative sample of approximately five thousand individuals in six of Asia's key markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, India and Taiwan.

As the only international school in Malaysia offering the Ontario (Canada) secondary school curriculum, SIS continues to deliver the Canadian education system’s reputation for excellence in academics to local and foreign students from more than thirty countries. Ranked by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), from its international educational survey on half a million 15-year-olds in more than 70 countries, the Canadian education system is consistently ranked as one of the world’s best for preparing students in key areas of literacy, numeracy and science.

With this win, SIS affirms its position for international recognized educational quality, not just among its community of parents and students, but also in the international and private school education sector. Deputy Principal, Mr Kondro vows this award will be motivation for SIS to maintain striving for the best: “It is a great honour for us as a school. It is a testimonial to our strong curriculum, fantastic teaching staff and incredible school community that we will continue to build.”
