Family time” means different things to different families. In some families, it means gathering at the dinner table, to hear about one another’s day, in other families, it means the annual vacation, and in yet other families it means get-togethers at birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or festive time - just about any reason to spend time together!
Let us take a look at how Family time strengthens bonds within the family, builds confidence in children and enhances overall emotional health for the entire family.

Kool Kidz aims to create a family atmosphere within our local community with real people, employed for their core set of values like passion, commitment, responsibility, dedication and professionalism.
Learning outcomes are most likely to be achieved when educators work in partnership with families. Partnerships are built on foundations of understanding each other’s expectations and attitudes, building on the strength of each other’s knowledge.
Participating in their communities strengthens children’s sense of identity and wellbeing. Over time, with opportunity and support, the ways children connect and participate with others increase.
Real people, families and communities working together, providing opportunity and support makes “Fun, Family days” at Kool Kidz happen in many ways such as:
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
At Kool Kidz, Mother’s Day is a reason to celebrate Mothers. It is an exciting day where the children get to host their Mummies to Tea. These occasions are opportunities to make memories for Mother and Child and for the school as well.
On Father’s Day, Daddies are invited to have breakfast with the children. Kool Kidz organises activities for the children and their Daddies to spend quality time together in a safe, and secure environment.
Culture Week
Parents are also often invited to share their experiences of the world out there with the children or introduce their culture to the children. Needless to say, it is a fun day for the children and the family involved.
Festivals
Kool Kidz believes in being inclusive and so festive time is also Family time as we celebrate cultural diversity! Parents are hosted to share in all festivities such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and Christmas. We would have Lion Dance performance, and even a visit from Santa to name a few!
Birthdays
Birthdays are a favourite reason for fun, family time at Kool Kidz. Mummies and Daddies come to school to help celebrate birthdays with the children and their friends. We would celebrate with lots of games and activities- and of course a birthday cake too!
Classrom Experience
Parents are also welcome at Kool Kidz to participate in and contribute to classroom experiences for the children. Parents bring their expertise into the classroom and make it a fun day for all. It is always a delight to see parents participating and getting involved in their children’s education. We love it and the children definitely do too!
Sports Carnival
Our Sports Carnivals organised each year are occasions for more fun for families. At Kool Kidz, our Carnivals are open to the public. This provides opportunities for more families in our community to participate in and enjoy a fun filled day.
Kool Kidz is committed to delivering the highest quality outcomes for children and their families. To this end, we welcome families into the service at any time. We believe that family contribution and involvement in school enhances learning outcomes for the children, as we see learning as a social activity and value collaborative learning and community participation.
Kool Kidz also encourages families to have a direct relationship with educators responsible for their child. Such a relationship helps to fulfil parent’s expectations for their child as well as of the service. As a result, children experience a sense of security and wellbeing, experiment and explore and become confident learners. We recognise the importance of families and educators building on their knowledge of each child and how this knowledge contributes to the overall, holistic development of the child, to become an independent learner in society.
