IB World Schools in Malaysia
The International Baccalaureate, also commonly known as the IB, was introduced by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) in 1968. The curriculum is comprehensive and well known for its academically progressive and rigorous programmes that are taught in more than 150 countries across the world. Comprising four age-targeted programmes, the IB Curriculum takes an integrated approach to education, nurturing intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills.
The four IB programmes that are offered are the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for those from ages 3 to 12; the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for those from ages 11 to 16; the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Careers-Related Programme for those from ages 16 to 19. Each of these programmes stands on its own merits. Students do not need to have completed the PYP and MYP in order to study for the IB Diploma.

2. EtonHouse Malaysia International School
Established in 2010, EtonHouse International School provides early years and primary education to children. The school offers its own EtonHouse Early Childhood Curriculum as well as the IB PYP. EtonHouse International School is located in Persiaran Stonor right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
3. Fairview International School
Fairview International Schools are located in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Perak and Johor. Recognised as an IB World School, Fairview International School offers the International Baccalaureate Curriculum at primary, secondary and pre-university levels. Fairview International School in Subang Jaya began offering the IGCSE qualification in 2018.
4. International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL)
Students at the ISKL in Ampang Hilir, follow an international curriculum with an American foundation from preschool to secondary levels. The IBDP is offered at pre-university level. Students at ISKL are offered an endless variety of co-curricular programs such as sports, performances in art and music, and clubs ranging from animal rescue to robotics. Additionally, opportunities for regional travel for sporting events and cultural conventions are incorporated into the curriculum.
5. Marlborough College Malaysia
Established in 2012, Marlborough College Malaysia is a British boarding and day school which accepts students from Reception to Sixth Form. The school offers the British Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The IBDP is offered at the pre-university level. Students from Year 5 onwards have the opportunity to be boarders at Marlborough College Malaysia. Students may choose to opt for day boarding, prep boarding and senior boarding.
6. Mont' Kiara International School
Mont Kiara International School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Additionally, they are also a full-continuum IB World School offering the IB PYP to students from Preschool to Grade 5, the IB MYP to students from Grades 6 to 10 and the IB Diploma Programme to students from Grades 11 and 12.
7. Nexus International School Malaysia
Established in 2008, the school offers the International Primary Curriculum and the British Curriculum. Students sit for the IGCSE examinations at the end of secondary school. The IBDP is offered at the pre-university level. Boarding facilities are available as well.
Located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Raffles American School offers the American Curriculum leading to the American High School Diploma and a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The IBDP is offered to students at pre-university levels. The school is open to students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Additionally, the school offers boarding facilities for students ages 10 to 17.
9. Repton International School
The International Early Years Curriculum, the Cambridge Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum and the IGCSE examinations are offered at Repton International School. Established in 2013, the school accepts students at the preschool, primary, secondary and pre-university levels. The IBDP is offered in Grades 11 and 12. After school hours, Repton offers a variety of extended curriculum activities that help students to cultivate a life-long passion or hobby as well as contributing towards their self-development.
10. Sri KDU International School
Sri KDU International School is a member of XCL Education. The school offers the British curriculum, the Cambridge Primary and Secondary Curriculum, the IGCSE and the IBDP. The school welcomes students to enter at primary, secondary and pre-university levels. Students can participate in an array of holiday activities from sports, music, information technology, maths and more during XCL+ Holiday Activities.
11. St. Joseph's Institution International School Malaysia (SJIISM)
St. Joseph’s Institution School Malaysia (SJIISM) is a brother school of the St. Joseph’s Institution and St. Joseph’s Institution International School in Singapore. SJIISM offers the International Primary Curriculum, IGCSE and the IBDP to students.
12. Stella Maris International School
SMIS is located in the safe and established Medan Damansara residential suburb. The school offers primary, secondary and pre-university curricula in a modern building equipped with purpose-built facilities. The Cambridge IGCSE is offered at SMIS from the primary to secondary level while the IBDP and A level are offered to pre-university students.
13. Sunway International School
Sunway International Schools are located in Bandar Sunway, Selangor and Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The Canadian (Ontario) Curriculum and the IBDP are offered at the Bandar Sunway campus. The Canadian (Ontario) Curriculum, the IB MYP, IBDP and IB CP are offered at the Iskandar Puteri, Johor campus. The school is open to students from Grades 6 to 11. Alongside their academic programmes, Sunway International School offers an array of extracurricular activities that cover a broad range of areas, providing something for everyone.
14. The International School of Penang (Uplands)
The International School of Penang (Uplands) offers the IB Primary Years Programme, IGCSE examination and the IBDP for students up to the age of 18. The International School of Penang (Uplands) offers Year 7 students a well-balanced framework of development and skills that enable the students to thrive in their secondary school and pre-university levels.
UCSI International School offers the International Primary Curriculum, the Cambridge Secondary curriculum, and the IGCSE to students from years 1 to 11. The IBDP is offered to students aged 16 to 19 with a limit of 25 students per class.
