About IGB International School

IGB International School (IGBIS) is an Early Years to Grade 12 international school in Sierramas, Malaysia, offering all four International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes under one school. Since opening in 2014, IGBIS has built a diverse international community where students learn through inquiry, develop independence and are encouraged to think deeply about the world around them.

IGBIS is the only school in Malaysia authorised to offer the full continuum of International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes — the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP). This provides students with a connected IB education from their early years through graduation, encouraging them to become curious, open-minded and caring learners who can apply their knowledge and critical thinking to real-world challenges.

Set within a purpose-built 10-acre campus in Sierramas, IGBIS provides students with a range of learning and co-curricular opportunities supported by internationally experienced educators. From well-equipped Early Years classrooms and specialised learning spaces to a 534-seat auditorium, sports facilities and creative arts spaces, the school provides an environment where students can explore their interests, develop their passions and learn beyond the classroom. Its diverse community includes students from more than 35 nationalities.

Beyond academics, IGBIS places strong emphasis on the holistic development of every learner through its Five Pillars: Innovation, Well-being, Inclusion, Empowerment and International-mindedness. These principles are reflected across the curriculum, school community and student experience, supporting young people in becoming confident, compassionate and globally minded individuals. IGBIS is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), reflecting its commitment to internationally recognised standards in education.
