Reception students had a good time in the playground investigating the concepts of floating and sinking. They experimented with a variety of materials and learned that heavy objects sink while light objects float. They also learned about various boats and ship types. 

The Little Ones consolidated their learning by building boats out of various materials and testing their creations to see if they floated or sank. They had a grand time learning to fold paper origami boats during the activity.
