Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) is a co-educational and fully residential institution specialising in university preparation. KYUEM offers the A Levels and is modelled after a British sixth form college. The college is located in Lembah Beringin, 70km away from Kuala Lumpur. Each student at KYUEM is provided a private bedroom in a variety of accommodation types; a well-equipped sickbay is situated on-site in addition to sport and leisure facilities. Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) is a modern international school combined with traditional English boarding school values. The school began operating in 2011 in Balik Pulau, Penang. Students aged 11 to 18 enter Year 7 to Year 13. The school can be found in Bandar Seri Botani, Ipoh. Established in 2020, the school is open to students in Early Years as well as Year 1 to Year 9 for their first year. Years 10 and 11 will be introduced in the future. Seri Botani International School offers the Cambridge International Curriculum leading up to the IGCSE examinations. The school’s boarding house is located within the campus; and girls and boys are situated in exclusive wings, equipped with either double or single rooms.
4. Sunway International School
Established in 2017, Sunway International School offers the Canadian Curriculum and IB Diploma Programme. Sunway International School is open to students aged three to 19 years old. The school’s original branch is based in Bandar Sunway, Selangor. Student accommodation is located at Citrine Residence, which is a stone’s throw away from the school compound.
5. The International School of Penang (Uplands)
Established in 1955, Uplands is the oldest international school in Penang. The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme, IGCSE examinations and IB Diploma Programme. Students aged four to 18 are accepted at Uplands. The boarders at Uplands are provided family-style accommodation in a secure family-centered housing area in Batu Feringgi within walking distance of the school. Each house accommodates six students from Year 7 to Year 13.
6. Westlake International School
Westlake International School (WIS) is located in Kampar. The school opened its doors to students in 2013 and offers the British Curriculum. Students are accepted to enter levels from early years to pre-university (age four to 17). The IGCSE and A Level qualifications are offered by the school. In addition, full boarding and weekly boarding options are available. Boarding students at WIS have the opportunity to participate in music lessons, sports activities, academic coaching, development programmes and more.
