Languages Day at BSKL
On Friday, 25th September, the British School of Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) celebrated Languages Day as their take on the European Day of Languages which is celebrated in Europe on the 26th September every year. The celebration provided BSKL the opportunity to showcase the wide range of languages prevalent in the school community as well as get their first House Competition under their belts.
Students and staff made the day very special indeed. Each House was allocated one of four continents from Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. Students then had to choose an appropriate costume in keeping with their House as well as decorate their House noticeboard with relevant images. During the day all students took part in a Languages Quiz and were also treated to a menu reflecting the four continents.
The school was covered in flags from all over the world, costumes adorned were very impressive, and the House Boards were imaginative and eye-catching. A few BSKL students deserving of a special mention:
