Yes, you heard us right! Meet Lim Liane Shay, who clinched the Social Impact Award at the recent ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฟ ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ (๐ฌ๐๐ซ) ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ for his business idea!
Shay founded ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐, a clothing line dedicated to spreading awareness and acceptance of autism through vibrant graphic t-shirts featuring empowering slogans. His mission? To spark conversations, foster understanding, and help reduce bullying towards the autism community. ๐ซถ๐ป
But Shayโs journey wasnโt just about a great idea, the next challenge for him was to overcome his stage fright. Thanks to his ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฟ teachers, he was able to perfect his hand gestures and present his idea confidently in front of a panel of international judges. ๐ช
Reflecting on his time in Jakarta, Shay shared that the best part of YEX was the friendships he made and the unforgettable experiences throughout the competition. His advice to future YEX participants: ๐ก๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฝ! ๐
