Alice Smith students are celebrating another exceptional set of A level results this year. Our 2021 Sixth Form cohort achieved a 100% pass rate with 67% of all grades at A* or A and 82% A* - B.
At (I)GCSE, 60% of students were awarded grades 8-9 ( equivalent to A* and above), 76% A* or A (grades 9-7 ) and 98% were awarded A* to C (grades 9-4).
Dr Maria Osowiecki, Principal, said, "What an incredible achievement for our incredible students: to succeed in such a challenging year. Congratulations, Year 11 and 13, for your fortitude, your perseverance, your strength of character and your ability to pursue your learning to such a high level and in spite of the uncertainty and challenges presented to you. You are nothing short of remarkable and we are so proud of your results, but above all, we are proud of you."
With such outstanding results, students wanting to study in the UK have successfully accepted offers at the University of Oxford, University of St Andrews, Imperial College London and London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Globally, students have secured places at the University of California, Berkeley, University of Melbourne and University of Tokyo.
Despite the challenges of last year, these results are remarkable when you consider that Alice Smith is not a selective school, unlike many other UK independent and international schools.
