Epsom College in Malaysia received its first set of public examination results from the Cambridge International Examinations Board. The College is delighted to announce an outstanding set of iGCSE results, with 61.7% of grades at A*, 95.8% at A* or A and 100% at A*, A or B. At Advanced Subsidiary (AS), the College is delighted to announce an A/B pass rate of 70%.

Notable AS results come from our scholarship holders, Amer Muhsin Jailani and Nik Ashman who both scored grade 'A' in all seven AS Mathematics modules as well as Khairul Danial who scored 100% in both Government and Politics papers. Natalie Tham, the Head of College scored 'A' grades in all four subject papers (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and English).

"These results are a worthy reflection of the efforts and diligence of staff and pupils who have worked so hard during our first year. I am delighted that students have achieved such outstanding results," commented Mr Martin George, Headmaster of Epsom College in Malaysia.

Natalie is all praise for the teachers at Epsom College. “The teachers at Epsom are absolutely brilliant. Lessons are extremely well structured and intriguing, with engaging discussions and clear explanations. I am truly immersed in my subjects and love every second that stretches my brain capacity beyond its limits!” claimed Natalie.

Natalie’s classmate, Amer is a firm believer in working hard to achieve success. “Hard is what makes it great, struggle breeds greatness,” said the young man when asked about his preparation before taking the examinations.

The Head of Sixth Form at Epsom College, Dr Nicola Brown is pleased with her students’ progress and is making sure students get dedicated support as they begin their A2 studies. She has taken the students under her wing and is confident the Year 13 students will do very well this year.

“Danial has made swift progress with us at Epsom College. His analytical mind and meticulous nature are his strengths, especially for Government and Politics papers,” remarked Dr Brown.

“Nik may have a jovial outlook on life, but his single-minded focus on his studies has ensured his success this year. He has dedicated his time to achieving the very best in all areas and we will continue to support him,” declared Dr Brown.
