IDRISSI Produces Top Achievers in IGCSE
The school achieved 100% pass rate across all subjects
In the recent release of The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination results, IDRISSI International School has recorded the highest pass rate and a strong set of results this year.
A 100% pass rate is awarded across all subjects which includes Business Studies, History, Computer Science, English, Malay, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Despite the exams being replaced with a stringent evidence-based assessment, the results recorded were impressive and did justice in evaluating students’ overall performance in school. 78% of the grades awarded were at A*-A, with 97% at A*-B and 99% were at A*-C.
IDRISSI also achieved 100% of A*-A in five out of ten subjects offered, namely English, Accounting, Economics, Literature and Malay.
One of the top achievers, Muhammad Danish Shah Mohd Zailan who received valedictorian award made a clean sweep of all subjects with 10A*s. He will be pursuing A-Levels at Kolej Yayasan UEM.
“If someone were to ask me, what is the best thing about IDRISSI, It would be the teachers. They have truly been an inspiration to all of us. They make classes feel less like a burden. They say the home is where the heart is, and here, the teachers truly are hearts of IDRISSI,” said Danish, who is not only known for his academic achievement, but also his outstanding leadership in school.
Zaynab Hawat, whose name is no stranger in poetry slam competitions, has been awarded the salutatorian honour and scored 7A* and 2A in the IGCSE exam.
“Our graduates this year have set a high bar and we are immensely proud of their achievements. With the quality of education that we always pride ourselves in, we hope that this tradition of excellence will be carried through for many years,” said Julie Wong, the Principal of IDRISSI International School.
IDRISSI is also excited to extend the all-round excellence to the southern part of Malaysia through a new concept of international eco-school which is modest and conventional. The school is located in EduCity, Johor Bahru and will be officially open in January 2021.
Currently, the admission to preschool, primary and secondary levels at IDRISSI International Schools are open throughout the year.
