Our rising powerlifting star, 𝐆𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐬𝐮 took his strength to the next level at the 𝗠𝗔𝗣 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, held last month at Kompleks EMHUB Kota Damansara, Selangor!
With his eyes set on bench-marking history by breaking the 90kg national record - a title that has stood firm for 12 years - Hong Tsu certainly put on a powerhouse performance. Though the record stayed put, he still delivered an outstanding performance, winning his category with an 𝟴𝟱𝗸𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁 and proving that he is a true contender in the sport.
His outstanding performance left the audience in awe as he flawlessly executed his lifts, showcasing not only his physical prowess but also his dedication and discipline.
This championship, organized by the 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗠𝗔𝗣), is part of the SBD Malaysia Open 2025, bringing together both emerging and seasoned powerlifters. As the final National Qualifier for the upcoming National Championships, the competition was fierce — but Hong Tsu rose to the occasion, leaving his mark and setting the stage for even greater achievements ahead.
