Our OIS High School HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Club recently hosted an engaging and educational assembly for our lower elementary students on preventing the spread of germs. This interactive session helped young learners understand essential hygiene habits, including proper handwashing, cough etiquette, and the importance of staying home when unwell to protect others.

A highlight of the event was a fun activity demonstrating how quickly germs spread—students passed a ball around, visually illustrating how easily germs can transfer from one person to another. Through hands-on learning, they practiced healthy habits that empower them to take responsibility for their well-being and the well-being of their peers.

As the first school in Malaysia to establish a HOSA chapter, OIS is proud to offer students opportunities to explore healthcare fields, develop leadership skills, and serve the community. By fostering early awareness of hygiene, our HOSA students are helping to build a healthier school community—one mindful habit at a time!
