The Official Opening of Peninsula International School Australia

For the first time, Malaysian students now have an option of pursuing their studies under the highly-regarded Victorian curriculum from Australia. This follows the opening of the Peninsula International School Australia, a collaboration between the HCK Group and Peninsula Grammar, a reputable institution in Melbourne, Australia, which has a long tradition of educational excellence.

The launching of the Peninsula International School Australia Malaysia Campus was graced by Deputy Commissioner for Victoria to South East Asia, Ms Amelia Fyfield.

The Victorian curriculum is known for its holistic learning and seeks to nurture students based on their capabilities and disposition, rather than age. It culminates in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), a tertiary admission requirement widely accepted by leading universities in Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Malaysia, among others.

Strategically located in Setia Alam, the primary and secondary School is part of a 12-acre mixed development in a thriving, award-winning township. It is the first of HCK Group’s international schools to open under the Peninsula branding.

The School’s founding principal Mr Clive Rogers, is a veteran educationist whose career spanned over 40 years across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Most of the teachers in the School are expatriates, who have good experience in nurturing young minds.

The School has a capacity of 2,000 students and boasts of state-of-the-art facilities like science laboratories, music room and a modern library. It also has a pool, an indoor sports hall, two outdoor courts, one football field and an auditorium that can seat 450 pax.

In congratulating the movers of the Peninsula offshore campus, Peninsula Grammar Principal, Mr Stuart Johnston said: “This is the most exciting international partnership in our school’s history and is based on a shared commitment to excellence in education and the necessity to prepare our students for a global society, more interconnected than ever before. “

The Setia Alam campus is the first Peninsula International School Australia to commence classes in Malaysia. Its Ipoh campus is set to start classes in Jan 2019.

The HCK Group is no stranger to education. Its Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Clement Hii is also the Group Managing Director of the SEGi University and Colleges, a leading tertiary education provider with 20,000 students across five campuses.
