Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) international school is offering a Sixth Form Academic Scholarship for students with outstanding academic ability and/or potential.
Successful applicants can receive a reduction of up to 75% on their tuition fees. Applications are welcome from Malaysian and international students, and the scholarship is available for KTJ’s 18-month Sixth Form programme beginning January 2022. Applications close on 1 November 2021 at 5pm.
Last academic year, KTJ Sixth Form students achieved exceptional A Level results. 81% of entries were graded A* or A, and 90% graded an A* to B. 55 students received straight A* grades, compared to 31 in 2019 when students last sat for the A Level examinations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
KTJ also achieved a value-added score of 0.6 from the Cambridge Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) for last year’s A Level students, indicating that on average KTJ students achieved more than half a grade higher than predicted by the baseline testing carried out before they started their Sixth Form studies. This statistic places KTJ in the top 4% of all schools worldwide for value added.
In 2021, KTJ was awarded the BSA International School of the Year Award, and ranked in the top 20 international schools in the world for the number of Oxbridge offers. Last year, 91% of UK-bound KTJ students received entry into their firm choice universities. University destinations included Cambridge, Edinburgh, Imperial, LSE and Warwick, as well as Columbia, Harvard, UPenn and Stanford in the US.
KTJ is hosting a Virtual Open Evening on 8 October at 8pm, providing parents and students with detailed information on the KTJ Sixth Form experience from key members of the academic team. To reserve your place or to learn more about KTJ’s Scholarships, visit their website: ktj.edu.my.
